Art Elegance
CREATIVE PROCESS.

Joan works with plants and flowers from her floral gardens to press and mold their texture and essence into these one of a kind dimensional art forms in porcelain clay. Upon request, she transforms special event floral designs, such as wedding bouquets, into cherished heirlooms. Using porcelain, the queen of clay, she incorporates natural fabrics and glass for special effects. She continues her creativity by applying layers of color, luster, enamel, pen work or gold to add other facets to her unique artistry. Each piece is fired in a kiln.

Our natural world is an inspiration for all of us. Joan enjoys her five acre gardens where she is naturally inspired to create these collectible art forms. If you can not spend time in nature, she hopes to bring it to you through her realistic art. She invites you to visit her studio and gardens.
